Aurora Drug Dealer Convicted After Getting Caught in Texas
He was arrested in Texas almost 12 years after posting bond

On Tuesday, Pedro Giles, a 37-year-old from Aurora, was convicted of drug dealing, according to a Kane County State's Attorney's Office press release.
Giles was caught selling 86 grams of cocaine for $2,400 by undercover officers in December 2002. Officers found between one and two pounds of cocaine and $1,400 in cash at Giles' residence.
After posting bond, Giles and two accomplices fled the area. Local authorities in Montgomery County, Texas arrested Giles in October 2014. He was extradited back to Illinois in November 2014.

Giles will be sentenced in April. He faces between 12 and 80 years in prison.
His two accomplices, Javier Perez, 50 (d.o.b. 7-31-1966, last address of the 500 block of Rosewood Ave., Aurora), and Ricardo Lopez Magallon, 44 (d.o.b. 10-10-1972), are still at large.
Authorities say that anyone with information on their whereabouts can leave an anonymous tip with the North Central Narcotics Task Force at (847) 608-3242 or on the task force’s Website at www.ncntf.org/TIPS.php.
The charges against Perez and Magallon are not proof of guilt, and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
