Aurora Man Caught Swiping Engine Parts From Foreclosed Home Charged With Burglary: Police

Claudio Garcia was seen by police taking engine parts from a foreclosed home.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man has been charged with burglary of a garage after swiping engine parts from a foreclosed home. Claudio Garcia, 61, was caught in the early hours of Sept. 27 as police were conducting surveillance on a suspect wanted for copper thefts in the near east and near west sides.

The foreclosed home was on the 100 block of Fifth Street. Garcia was placed under arrest and the charge was secured through the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. According to a statement from Aurora police, Mr. Garcia remains at the Kane County Jail on a $25,000 bond. The charges against him are not proof of guilt. He is entitled to a fair trial.
