Aurora Man Charged With Attempted Murder for Stabbing

Police say the accused attacked knew the victim

Police have charged Shaun Ramirez, a 34-year-old from Aurora, with attempted murder, armed violence and aggravated battery after he reportedly stabbed another man several times on Wednesday night, according to the Daily Herald.

Ramirez was outside his home on North Glen Circle in Aurora arguing with a man sitting in a car, police say. They apparently knew each other, but Ramirez reportedly stabbed the man though the window several times.

The driver of the car drove the victim to the hospital. The victim was transferred to a second hospital, where he underwent surgery for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Ramirez was on parole at the time of the incident. A charge of a crime is not a determination of guilt.
