Aurora Man Gets 10-Year Prison Sentence For Child Sexual Assault

The 35-year-old man was convicted last year of sexually assaulting a minor in 2017.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man was sentenced last week to serve a decade in prison after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a minor in 2017, according to Kane County prosecutors.

Jammal Drane, 35, was found guilty in October on a felony charge of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child who was younger than 13. Drane assaulted the minor multiple times between January 2017 and October 2017, prosecutors said.

Drane must serve at least 85 percent of his 10-year sentence, though he will receive credit for serving nearly three years in Kane County jail between his arrest and his sentencing.
