Aurora Man Killed In St. Charles Crash
Charles A. Fowler, 52, was pronounced dead on Monday after his pickup truck rear-ended a semi-truck.
ST. CHARLES, IL — A 52-year-old Aurora man was killed Monday afternoon when his pickup truck rear-ended a semi-truck in St. Charles, police said.
Charles A. Fowler was taken to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the semi-truck was treated at the scene by paramedics.
St. Charles police and fire departments were called to a scene of possible entrapment at around 12:30 p.m. Monday on the corner of Kirk Road and Division Street. At first, witnesses said they thought the man might be trapped inside his car, officials wrote in a news release.

Preliminary investigation revealed both vehicles were stopped southbound at a red light near the 1500 block of South Kirk Road. Police said they believe Fowler's white Ford pickup truck did not stop. The crash remains under investigation by the Kane County crash team.
