Aurora Memorial Day Parade To Honor Fallen Soldiers

The parade will step off at 12 p.m. from the intersection of Benton and River.

AURORA, IL — Aurora will pay its respects to fallen heroes with its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28. The parade will step off from Benton and River at 12 p.m. and will make its way through downtown Aurora with the theme "In Memory of Many...In Honor of All."

After the parade begins, it will head east on Benton before turning north on Broadway. Next, marchers will turn west on Downers Place before the parade comes to a close at River Street.

As part of the Memorial Day ceremony, the city will also display its Memorial Day Reviewing Stand at the David L. Pierce Art and History Center.

Downtown, parking lots C and I will be closed Monday and lots B, D, G, Q, and R will be available until 11:30 a.m. The lots will reopen for access around 1:30 p.m. once the Memorial Day Celebration has ended.
