Aurora Mom Raising Funds To Replace Girl's Belongings After Fire
Olivia Lincoln wrote on a GoFundMe page that her family lost everything in a fire caused by fireworks someone set off in their trash can.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora family who recently lost their home in a fire is now trying to put their lives back together, starting with the replacement of a little girl’s belongings.
In a GoFundMe post on Tuesday, Olivia Lincoln said that her daughter, Giselle, lost all of her things, including her furniture, clothing, and toys, in the fire. A GoFundMe spokesperson that the fire started when someone set off fireworks in the family’s trash can.
A spokesperson for the Aurora Fire Department did not immediately return an email from Patch on Tuesday seeking details about the fire.

In an email to Patch on Tuesday, Lincoln said that the fire started around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. She said that the only way her family was made of the fire is when someone began yelling through their Ring doorbell, but that the sound was not working.
She said that no one was home at the time of the fire. She said that it was determined that the fire started outside of the house. Lincoln said that fire investigators asked if they had recently purchased fireworks recently. She said they had not, but that several empty firework wrappers in their garbage.

"I’m not one to ask for help but knowing my daughters things are gone is what probably hurts more than anything," Lincoln wrote in an email to Patch. I have been overwhelmed with the amount of kindness and generosity of those in our community and of course from friends, family and co-workers. I have been ugly crying all day, with how amazing and kind everyone around us has been."
As of Tuesday afternoon, the GoFundMe effort had raised more than $1,500 of the $5,000 goal.
