Aurora Restaurants Offer Discounts, Pickup: Coronavirus Closures

AURORA, IL — As restaurants across the state of Illinois have been ordered to close to in-person dining, several downtown Aurora eateries are offering discounts and curbside pickup to accommodate residents.

Here's a roundup from Aurora Downtown of some local restaurants and their offerings during this time.

• Subway: Online order through app or third party or call for carry-out from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Altiro Latin Fusion: Carry-out and curbside pick-up and free delivery. Daily 3 to 8 p.m. Medical staff and first responders will receive 20 percent off and free delivery.
• Calla Lily Victorian Tea Room: Delivery for Aurora, Oswego and Montgomery. Open Mon-Sat 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for carry out and delivery. (630) 340-4771

• U Samba?: Carry-out/Delivery. Grubhub free delivery up to four miles. Hours: Tues. and Wed. 4 to 8 p.m.; Th – Sat. 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Jake’s Bagels: Carry-out and curbside available. Open M-F 5:15 am to 3 pm and Saturday 6 am to 2 pm.

Other restaurants have announced that they will be closed until further notice. According to Aurora Downtown, these include Stolp Island Social, Tecalitlan Mexican Restaurant and Society 57.

Some downtown Aurora retail shops are also closing to customers and moving business online. These include Wyckwood House, Warehouse 55, and The Cotton Seed Creative Exchange.
