A portion of Bilter Road in that area will be closed until 4 p.m. because the nearest fire hydrant is located across the street and the fire hose cannot be driven over, officials said. Detour signs will direct drivers to alternate routes.
The recruits will respond to fires set in the house and conduct search-and-rescue exercises, the release states. They will work alongside by company officers from the Aurora Fire Department and be supervised by a safety team throughout the day, the release states.
