AURORA, IL — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Aurora so you can start planning now.

Aurora will celebrate hold its annual Fourth of July Celebration and Parade at 10 a.m. on July 4. The parade will step off from Benton and River Streets and then make its way east on Benton before turning north onto Broadway. From Broadway, the parade will turn west on Galena and then south on Stolp before turning west on Downer Place to head back to River Street.

Starting at 7 p.m., revelers can enjoy live music and bounce houses as they await the fireworks display, which is set for 9:30 p.m.
