Aurora's Diwali Festival To Feature Indian Eats, Dancing, More
The popular Indian celebration marks the start of the Hindu New Year.
AURORA, IL — Aurora will celebrate Hindu tradition with its 6th Annual Diwali Festival on Oct. 19. The festival, presented by the Aurora Indian American Community Outreach Advisory Board, will feature authentic Indian cuisine, traditional dancing, and more.
Vendors will be on hand at the festival selling Indian eats, jewelry, and clothing.
Known as the "Festival of Lights," Diwali marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year. The holiday is traditionally celebrated with fireworks or by leaving brilliant fire-lit designs outside of homes.
