Birthday Girl Asks for Donations Instead of Gifts.
How an 8 yr old girl and her family made helping others a family affair.

When guests sent their R.S.V.P. to Harper’s Birthday Party, it was to Remember Some Very Precious Ones with gifts for Wayside in lieu of presents for the birthday girl.
Yesterday, Cletus, Heather, and their children Harper, and Brielle Short delivered 20 pounds of sugar for coffee, chips, peanut butter, and paper goods for the chronically homeless in our care in Elgin.
All these items were donated by Mr. & Mrs. Short, their family, and friends on behalf of eight-year-old Harper. The family began serving at the Elgin location through the ministry of Fellowship Life Bible Church and Pastor Ty Gooch.

Today, it's become their passion mission to serve our needy because L.O.V.E. is the most precious gift we have to offer!
