Columbus Day 2017: What's Open And What's Closed In Naperville?

Monday, October 9 is Columbus Day.

NAPERVILLE, IL — It's Columbus Day, which means some Chicagoans will take time to enjoy the Chicago Cubs game or the 65th Columbus Day Parade, whether they have to work or not. Check out the following to see if you can partake in the festivities:

  • Public School Calendars: District 203 here, district 204 here.
  • City Government: The municipal center's hours will remain open. City of Naperville's garbage and recycling pickup will continue as usual.
  • Park District: The Naperville Park District is hosting a few events Monday, including a creepy critters day at Knoch Knolls Park and family bingo.
  • Postal Service: No mail delivery and all United States post offices will be closed. UPS & FedEx will run with normal operating hours.
  • Library: Naperville's libraries will remain open with one exception: 95th Street location will be closed for renovations.
  • CTA and Metra: Regular hours, no change.
  • Banks: Some will be open, some will be closed. Call ahead.
  • Courts: DuPage County Court will be closed.
  • Financial and Stock Markets: Open.
