A fire broke out in a detached garage on the west side of Aurora on Monday morning, according to an Aurora Fire Department press release. The department responded to the fire on the 500 block of Iowa Ave. just before 8 a.m. The 12 responding firefighters extinguished the fire in 15 minutes. There were no injures and the damage is estimated at $55,000. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
