Katherine L. Lippoldt is the new assistant director of student services.
Ms. Lippoldt comes to District 131 with over 15 years of experience in education, having begun her career as a school psychologist at the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative. In her most recent position as director of counseling at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School District 307, she led a team of school counselors and social workers to deliver comprehensive guidance and counseling services. Lippoldt also oversaw the implementation of 504 plans and collaborated with providing social-emotional curriculum and MTSS interventions.

Ms. Lippoldt received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Truman State University and her Master of Arts degree in school psychology from Northern Illinois University.
Kara L. Patrick is the new assistant director of health services.
Ms. Patrick brings over 15 years of experience in education, first as a registered nurse at Provena Mercy Hospital before becoming a certified school nurse at Elgin School District U-46. In her most recent role as district supervising certified school nurse, Patrick supervised elementary and junior high schools while also attending IEP and 504 meetings. Additionally, she created individualized health care plans, coached and mentored nurses, and oversaw the state-mandated reporting for physicals, immunizations, dental and eye examinations, and vision and hearing conservation reports to the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Ms. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Elmhurst College.
Brad M. Wieher is the new executive director of curriculum & instruction.
Mr. Wieher has worked in education for over 15 years with various experiences, including reading specialist, district coordinator, and division leader, to his current role in EASD 131 as director of literacy and interventions. In his current role, Wieher collaborates with district staff to support system-wide literacy initiatives and a multi-tiered system of supports. He oversees and supervises the reading department and instructional coaches across the district, ensuring that instructional coaches are equipped with best-practice strategies and resources to support rigorous, data-driven instruction in classrooms. In addition, Mr. Wieher offers ongoing support, modeling, coaching, and delivers training to other school leaders and staff.
Mr. Wieher received his Bachelor of Science degree in English from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, a Master of Science degree in reading from the University of St. Francis, and a master’s degree in educational administration from Governors State University.
