East Aurora Seniors Named Illinois State Scholars
Congratulations to 30 seniors from the Class of 2021 who were recently named Illinois State Scholars.
The State Scholar Program recognizes students attending Illinois public high schools for outstanding academic achievement. Illinois State Scholars represent the top ten percent of all high school seniors in Illinois and are chosen based on SAT scores and sixth-semester class rank.
While no monetary award is given, the State Scholar designation provides honorary recognition and demonstrates a student’s solid academic potential.

Each State Scholar receives a congratulatory letter and Certificate of Achievement from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), which they can use in future academic and professional portfolios to signify their hard work and academic achievement.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the selection process was delayed and qualified Illinois high school students were designated as 2021-22 State Scholars on April 12, 2021.
