Edward Foundation awards $18,000 in nursing scholarships
The Edward Foundation has awarded scholarships to nine Edward Hospital employees who are pursuing a degree or advanced degree in nursing.

The Edward Foundation has awarded $18,000 in nursing scholarships to nine Edward Hospital employees who are pursuing a degree or advanced degree in nursing. The employees were recognized at a ceremony on March 2 at Edward Hospital.
A $2,000 Agnes A. Book Memorial Nursing Scholarship was awarded to Amy Rowe, RN, Clinical Nurse Educator, Yorkville.
The annual scholarship comes from a fund established by the Book family in memory of their mother, who was a nurse at Edward for more than 20 years.

The Foundation also awarded $2,000 nursing scholarships to eight Edward employees:

- Angelica Bailey, RN, Medical Oncology, Sheridan
- Sandi Darnell, RN, Bolingbrook Immediate Care, Naperville
- Kathleen Deguzman, RN, Critical Care, Naperville
- Rachel Gilio, RN, Critical Care, Glendale Heights
- Sara Krause, Patient Care Tech, Cardiac ICU, Channahon
- Cassandra Lopez, Patient Care Tech, Pulmonary Medicine, Downers Grove
- John Walwer, RN, Cardiac ICU, Naperville
