'Fades & Grades' Offers Free Haircuts For Aurora Students
Mayor Richard Irvin will be at the event, which offers free haircuts on a first come, first served basis.

AURORA, IL — Aurora students can start the school year with a free haircut at the upcoming "Fades & Grades" event at Headliners Barbershop. The Aug. 18 event, open to students in kindergarten through 8th grade, will feature DJ music, games, and raffle prizes.
During the event, Headliners will offer haircuts from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a first come, first served basis. Students will also get information about local mentoring programs, free books and free school supplies.
Mayor Richard Irvin said in a statement, "We want our students to walk into class with confidence and pride. As equally as important, we want to connect them with services and programs in the community that will help prepare them for a successful future."
