Fire in Aurora Apartment Building

The Aurora Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment building on the 1800 block of Lilac Lane on Sunday night, according to a department press release. Crews found a small fire in a bedroom in the 16-unit, two-story building.

The twelve responding firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and there were no injuries. No one was home at the time of the fire, and damage is estimated at $5,000. Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
