Fire Closes Roads Monday On Aurora’s Near East Side

Aurora police said they closed numerous roads Monday morning due to a fire in the area of the Old Copley Hospital.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police shut down “numerous” roads Monday morning on Aurora’s Near East Side as firefighters battled a blaze in the area.

The Aurora Police Department issued a traffic alert around 10:45 a.m. Monday about road closures around the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue, near the Old Copley Hospital.

Roads were reopened by 12:15 p.m. Monday.
