FVSRA and the Northern Illinois Food Bank Team Up for Food Drive

Partnering to solve hunger in our community.

FVSRA and the Northern Illinois Food Bank teamed up for FVSRA’s first ever Stuff the Bus event. In collaboration with their member agencies and recreation departments, 860 pounds of food was collected and donated to neighbors experiencing hunger.

“FVSRA has a long history of giving to people in need, and that focus has multiplied greatly since the pandemic began,” said Development Director Eric Smith. “Partnering with area experts solving hunger and leveraging FVSRA’s network to help is a collaboration we look forward to continuing.”

More opportunities to participate in a future Stuff the Bus Food Drive are available in 2021.
