'Gifts From Home' Sends Love From Aurora
Active military personnel from Aurora are eligible for a gift in the mail his holiday season.
AURORA, IL — The City of Aurora is doing something special for its active military personnel this holiday season. As a token of appreciation, the city is sending them gift box of mixed nuts and a holiday greeting card as a part of the Gifts from Home program. The city says the program "assures all active military personnel know they are always in our thoughts, especially around the holidays." They'll even send internationally. Friends and family must register the recipient by November 17. Gifts from Home is open to Aurora residents.
