Gone In 15 Minutes: 2K Score Tickets To Mass Vaccine Clinic
Two-thousand appointments at a mass coronavirus vaccination clinic this weekend in Aurora were claimed in under 15 minutes Wednesday.
AURORA, IL — Tickets for a 2,000-person mass vaccination clinic this weekend in Aurora sold out within 15 minutes Wednesday afternoon.
The registration website started accepting registrations from Aurora residents at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. By 2:05 p.m., the website showed that tickets were “unavailable.” By 2:15 p.m., all 2,000 tickets were sold out.

Registration was only available to Aurora residents who are 65 or older, a frontline worker or have a qualifying medical condition.
Saturday’s event is set to provide doses of the coronavirus vaccine to 2,000 residents, with some receiving the Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot vaccine, according to city officials.

Thousands Get Coronavirus Vaccines At Mass Clinic In Aurora
The mass clinic will be the third in Aurora in recent weeks. About 2,400 people received a coronavirus vaccine Monday at the former Carson Pirie Scott building, while 750 people received coronavirus vaccines last week at the Cathedral of Grace St. John AME Church.
Aurora officials are planning additional mass clinics on March 19 for Latino residents and on March 25 for residents who have disabilities.
Kane County officials are set to open a permanent mass vaccination site later this month at the former Sam’s Club in Batavia.
