Hill Avenue Road Closures To Start In Aurora, Montgomery
Work should be completed by mid-October.

AURORA, IL — Drainage improvements to Hill Avenue between Montgomery Road and Ogden Avenue (Route 34) in Aurora and Montgomery will require weekday, daytime full road closures beginning Sept. 10, weather permitting.
In order to complete the work, Hill Avenue will be fully closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, until the work is completed, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation. Local traffic only will be permitted between Ogden Avenue and Goodwin Drive.
A detour will be posted, guiding northbound Hill Avenue traffic to eastbound Ogden Avenue to northbound Farnsworth Avenue and finally to westbound Montgomery Road to reconnect with Hill Avenue Southbound Hill Avenue traffic will take the opposite route.

The work is expected to be complete by the middle of October.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
