Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting, Fireworks In Downtown Aurora
Head downtown Friday for fireworks, popup shops, a holiday parade, and a visit from Santa Claus.

AURORA, IL --- The spirit of the holiday season will fill the air in downtown Aurora on Nov. 16 for the city's annual Winter Lights Winter Market, holiday parade, and tree lighting. In addition to a taking in a visit from Santa Claus and a fireworks display, visitors can browse the shops downtown and popup stores to buy handmade holiday gifts for their loved ones from local artisans.
The festivities kick off at 6 p.m., when residents start to gather for the annual holiday parade, which will step off from Downer Place at 6:30 p.m. and conclude in the lighting of the city Christmas tree. At 7:15 p.m., turn your eyes skyward to watch a dazzling fireworks display that will give the holiday lights a run for their money.
Following the parade, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will warm up at Wyckwood House to visit with kids, pose for pics, and hear what they want for Christmas.
