Kane County Sheriff's Speaker Series Tackles Race Relations
A Kane County seminar series will gather experts Tuesday to discuss the pressing social issue.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Sheriff's Office will tackle race relations in the next installment of a four-part panel discussion series. Sheriff Donald E. Kramer and a panel of community leaders will address the social issue Nov. 14 in the Gail Borden Public Library at 270 N. Grove Ave. in Elgin. Once a month, another topic is covered, like suicide prevention and domestic violence. The series skips December but Jan. 9 will cover human trafficking. Tuesday's event will run from 7 - 8:30 p.m. upstairs in the Elgin room. The maximum amount of attendees is 100, so registration is required online. Those who wish to attend do not need proof of residency or even a library card. Anyone is welcome to join.
Two sister events will be held in Santori Library in Aurora: Human Trafficking Jan. 24 and Exposing the Heroin Highway Feb. 28. Both events start at 6 p.m. at 101 S. River St. in Aurora.
