2nd – 9th Grade Students Have the Chance to Win $300 in Annual Math Competition

(Bolingbrook, IL) – Move over, Mathletes! It’s time for the annual Math Olympiads, hosted by local tutoring center, Eye Level. Both members and non-members of Eye Level are welcome to enter the competition, which will take place on Saturday, November 3rd at Turner Conference Center in Glen Ellyn, IL.

For those who don’t know, Eye Level is located at the 95th and Boughton intersection in Bolingbrook, right next to the CVS Pharmacy. Owner Fazeetha Rahman opened the center in 2014 with a focus on seeing things through the kids’ perspective, hence the name Eye Level. Since then, her center has provided additional assistance in English and Math and hosted events, like the Math Olympiads, to challenge students to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in these areas.

“I want the kids to feel proud of their achievements and confident in their skills,” says Rahman, who will host this year’s event. “The Math Olympiads are a great way to make math exciting and fun.”

The Math Olympiads is a global competition, so students will go head-to-head with those from all around the world. They are asked 50 questions in 50 minutes that challenge their problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Any student from 2nd grade to 9th can compete in this competition. Registration is now open with a fee of $20 for Eye Level students and $30 for non-students. First place will receive a $300 prize; second place, $200; and third place, $100.
