The Aurora man is facing charges. Police said he was also found with cash and weed.

AURORA, IL — Authorities snagged over 200 grams of heroin, almost 129 grams of weed, 13 grams of crack and $584 in cash at a house on the 200 block of Plum Street. Vincent J. Lewis, 31, who lives in the apartment, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, intent to deliver and more as a result of the search, which occurred at about 4:10 p.m. Jan. 11, according to a Facebook post from Aurora police.

Paramedics treated Lewis on the scene when he cut his hand trying to break a window to throw some of the contraband out of it, police said. He's being held on a $450,000 bail at the Kane County Correctional Center. The charges were recently authorized by the Kane County State's Attorney. Community Police officers and K-9 units assisted in the operation.

In another incident Jan. 4 at about 6 a.m., police said they entered in an apartment with a search warrant in the 1300 block of Monomoy Street. Almost 84 grams of pot and drug paraphernalia were taken from that location, police said. Robert D. Franklin, 26, who lived in the apartment, was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis.
