Moms & More Hosting Open House Wine Tasting

It takes a village of other moms to raise a mother, and Moms & More strives to be that village for moms and families in the Oswego area. Women can meet members and learn more about this dynamic group during its fall Open House.

The event will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Fox Valley Winery, 5600 US-34 in Oswego. Stop by anytime during the event and enjoy a night out with fellow moms.

The organization, which covers Oswego, Montgomery, Aurora, Plainfield and Yorkville, offers a variety of support for moms from playgroups during the day to evening moms-only events, including a monthly book club, bunco, movie night and freezer meal swap. Moms & More also plans events for the whole family on nights and weekends, such as an upcoming trunk or treat outing.

The group also demonstrates to children the importance of giving back to the community through its various philanthropic efforts. Earlier this school year, Moms & More donated school supplies for 48 students at Long Beach Elementary. Currently the group is collecting pop tops and making fleece tie blankets for Ronald McDonald House at Edward Hospital.
