Music Returns To The Venue: Livestream Concerts Amid Coronavirus
The Venue in downtown Aurora is hosting virtual concerts every Monday night on its Facebook page.
AURORA, IL — After several weeks of silence, music is once again flowing out of The Venue in Aurora. The downtown music hall hosted its first virtual concert via livestream last week and will broadcast a performance tonight by singer-songwriter Dave Ramont.
The show will be streamed live on The Venue’s Facebook page starting at 8 p.m. Monday, April 13. The Fox Valley Music Foundation, which operates The Venue, plans to broadcast performances on The Venue’s Facebook page every Monday night.
The nonprofit organization is accepting donations through Paypal for the livestream performances. Donations will be split between the performers and the Fox Valley Music Foundation to keep The Venue afloat, with all concerts postponed due to stay-at-home orders.
