AURORA, IL — Hundreds of Aurora residents were hit with parking tickets from Aurora police after significant snowfall throughout the region in recent days.

Aurora officials said Saturday evening that 968 parking tickets were written in the prior week for violations of the city’s ordinance that bans people from parking their cars on public streets during or after a snowfall of 2 inches of more. That ban lasts until plows have cleared the street.
