Darlene R. Olson passed away at the age of 76 on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Darlene was born in Chicago Heights on April 8, 1943, the daughter of Richard and Lucille (nee Rosolowski) Chapman. She will be remembered as someone who always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to their stories, and watching the Chicago Cubs.

Darlene is the beloved mother of Brenda (Scott) Shay and Dave (Janet Cook) Olson; loving grandmother of Sarah Shay; beloved sister of Rich Chapman, Ron (Beth) Chapman, Ray (Becky) Chapman, Bob Chapman, and Denise (Ike) Ivey; and the fond aunt “sis” to many nieces and nephews. Darlene was also a dear friend to many.

She is preceded by her loving husband, James A. Olson and her parents.

Funeral Services for Darlene R. Olson will be held privately by the family. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
