Police Looking For Suspects From Aurora Weekend Shootings
Separate gunfire hit a home and a car over the weekend. Police are looking for answers.

AURORA, IL — Police are looking for information on a couple of weekend shootings that occurred on the Near East Side.
- A home on the 200 block of Beach Street was struck by gunfire at around 12:05 a.m. Oct. 28. Upon investigation, the residents were uncooperative. The only information they do have is that a dark colored sports car may be involved.
- Oct. 29, at around 11:15 a.m., a vehicle was damaged in the 100 block of S. Lincoln Avenue. The victim is a 20-year-old Aurora man who says the shots were fired by a man standing in front of a nearby home. He said he had just pulled over to let a passenger out when the shots were fired. The suspect is described as a black man around 5’8”, 165 pounds with long dreadlocks. He was wearing a black and blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
There were no injuries reported in either incident. Police have not found motives, but gang motivation has not been ruled out. If you can contribute any tips to the police, call Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000.
