Public Wake, Memorial Service Set For Late Aurora Mayor Weisner
Residents can also stop by City Hall on Jan. 4 to pay their respects during a live radio broadcast.

AURORA, IL --- A public wake and memorial service has been set for late Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner, who died Friday following a long battle with cancer. Residents can pay their respects at a public wake that will last for two days and at a subsequent memorial service.
Mayor Weisner's wake will be held on Jan. 10 and Jan. 11 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New England Congregational Church, located at 406 W. Galena Blvd. A public memorial service are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Jan. 14 at Paramount Theatre, 23 W. Galena Blvd.
Mourners can also reflect on Mayor Weisner's life and service during a live radio broadcast from 95.9 The River at Aurora City Hall. On Jan. 4, the radio station will dedicated its programming from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. to sharing memories about Weisner. The public is invited to come to City Hall for the live broadcast and share their own thoughts on Weisner's life.

Burial services will be held privately at Marywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you can make a contribution to the Weisner Foundation or the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry. Contributions can be mailed to P.O. Box 2602, Aurora, IL 60507-2602.
