See Giant Light-Up Teddy Bears, Reindeer, More At RiverEdge Park

Opening night includes holiday carols and a stunning fire flow performance.

AURORA, IL --- Aurora is known as the "City of Lights" and they definitely earn that name with their newest riverside holiday lights display, Winter on the Fox at RiverEdge Park. This interactive riverside display features giant illuminated teddy bears, reindeer, Christmas presents, and archways that make for a fun excursion with the family and a hard-to-miss opportunity for some amazing selfies.

Winter on the Fox will kick off with an official Community Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. This special event will come to life with holiday carols, Santa Claus, and fire dancers spinning staffs and fans.

Visitors can grab a snack from one of the food trucks at RiverEdge Park or warm up with a mug of hot cocoa.

Winter on the Fox will light up RiverEdge Park nightly from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Jan. 4.

Each weekend, there will be special activities to explore before you tour the sparkling lights displays. The events are as follows:

  • Dec. 8 and 9 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Food trucks and holiday tunes
  • Dec. 14 and 15 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Free photos with Santa Claus and holiday shopping
