Semi Crash Stalls Traffic On Route 31 In Aurora
Police said it could take up to two hours for the crash scene to be cleared.
AURORA, IL -- A crash involving a semi truck stalled traffic on Route 31 in Aurora Tuesday afternoon. As of 3 p.m., police said Route 31 was closed to southbound traffic between Sullivan and Indian Trail.
The road closure jammed traffic on westbound Sullivan between Highland and Lake.
Illinois State Police were helping to clear the accident, which police said could cause traffic backups for up to two hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area, if possible.
