Severe Storm, Tornado Spotter Training Offered By Aurora Police

The free 2-hour class will cover the basics of how to spot severe weather and storms.

AURORA, IL — Aurora-area residents who dream of becoming storm chasers may be glad to know the Aurora Police Department is teaming up with the city's Emergency Management Agency to host a free class on severe storm and tornado spotting.

The two-hour class is set for April 15 at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Community Room at the Aurora Police Department, 1200 E. Indian Tr., Aurora. Experts from the DuPage County Emergency Management Agency will be on hand to talk about their tips and tricks for storm-spotting and to field questions from attendees.
