Sewer Work To Close Part Of West New York Street In Aurora

AURORA, IL -- Part of West New York Street will be closed in Aurora as crews begin work on a sewer separation project. The project will cause scheduled road closures and shifts in traffic patterns on West New York Street and Oak Avenue, city officials said.

Motorists can expect closures on New York Street between Grand Avenue and Wilder Street and on Oak Avenue between New York Street and Galena Boulevard. Detour signs will be up to let commuters know about alternate routes.

The sewer project is expected to wrap up by July 31, if weather permits.
