Sports Betting Coming To 7 IL Casinos: See Locations
The Illinois Gaming Board approved licenses for seven casinos in the state, but mobile sports betting is still a few steps away.
ILLINOIS — Seven Illinois casinos will be allowed to take bets on live sports when they are allowed to reopen after the state’s gaming board approved sports wagering licenses on Thursday.
The board unanimously approved licenses for all seven casinos, with the licenses set to expire in June 2024.
- Hollywood Casino — Aurora and Joliet
- Grand Victoria Casino — Elgin
- Rivers Casino — Des Plaines
- Casino Queen — East St. Louis
- The Argosy — Alton
- Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino — East Peoria
Though these casinos now hold licenses to accept sports wagers, bettors won’t immediately be able to jump back into the game, as each casino must receive approval before taking online bets, according to a report by the Chicago Sun-Times.
