The forgery and perjury charges were filed after the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office investigated 32 cases of alleged election fraud. Most investigations were closed without charges, but some remain open, State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release.
Berlin said the charges involve an “infinitesimal percentage” of the 491,000-plus votes cast in DuPage County during the 2020 general election.
