Volunteers Needed For Mass Vaccination Clinics In Kane County
The Kane County Health Department is seeking medical and non-medical volunteers to help administer coronavirus vaccines in the region.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Health Department is looking for volunteers to help with mass coronavirus vaccination clinics.
The health department needs medical volunteers to administer vaccines and other volunteers to greet guests, check their symptoms and help them with paperwork, officials said in a news release.
State officials are administering vaccines at the former Carson Pirie Scott store at 970 N. Lake St., while county officials are running mass clinics at the former Sam’s Club in Batavia and the Eastside Recreational Center in Elgin.

Coronavirus Cases On The Rise In Kane County For Past 3 Weeks
Medical volunteers must hold a current license, while dentists, dental hygienists and pharmacists are required to complete training to administer vaccines, the release states.

Non-medical volunteers must be comfortable with technology and providing customer service. Confidentiality training and a Medical Reserve Corps 101 orientation are required for all volunteers, officials said.

The Kane County Health Department is also seeking bilingual volunteers, with fluency in Spanish and Hindi particularly helpful, officials said.
