Weekend Clinic To Vaccinate 2K Aurora Residents; Sign Up Today
Residents can sign up for a coronavirus vaccine at 2 p.m. Wednesday if they are 65 or older, a frontline worker or have a medical condition.

AURORA, IL — Two-thousand Aurora residents can sign up Wednesday afternoon to receive a coronavirus vaccine over the weekend.
The city is set to hold its third mass vaccination clinic Saturday, with online registration opening at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Residents can sign up for a vaccine if they are 65 or older, a frontline worker or have a qualifying medical condition, according to the city’s website.

Saturday’s clinic will provide doses of the coronavirus vaccine to the first 2,000 residents who register. Some will receive Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot vaccine, according to city officials.
Residents can sign up here to receive a link to register for a vaccine at the mass clinic. Registering on the Eventbrite website does not guarantee residents will get a vaccine Saturday.

Residents in the following categories are eligible to receive a vaccine at Saturday’s clinic:
Age: 65 years and older
Occupation: Health care, first responder, education, food and agriculture, manufacturing, corrections worker, U.S. Postal Service, public transit worker, grocery store worker, shelters/adult day care
Medical Condition: Diabetes, obesity, pulmonary diseases, smoking, heart conditions, Chronic Kidney Disease, cancer, immunocompromised, sickle cell, pregnancy, person with a disability
Walgreens is partnering with the City of Aurora and Mayor Richard Irvin for Saturday’s “Mass Vax Aurora” clinic. Residents who register for a vaccine will receive more details about the clinic’s time and location.
