11-Year-Old Michael Mucha Finishes 3rd in 2018 Racing Season
After competing in 15 races against 18 other drivers including adults, Bolingbrook's own Michael Mucha finished 3rd in points.
Michael Mucha of Bolingbrook races a half-scale NASCAR in the Central States Region Super Cup Series. Michael began racing in 2016 at age 9, earning Rookie of the Year in his first season. In 2017 he finished 5th in points of 17 drivers and earned the Hard Charger award for bringing his car from the back to the front of the field more times than any other driver. The 2018 season was challenging and exciting and brought many top 5 finishes and wins including one "clean sweep" where Michael was the fastest qualifier, won the heat race, and won the feature race all in one evening, besting even long-time seasoned veterans and past series champions who have more than a decade of experience. After 15 points races in 2018 Michael achieved 3rd place overall among 18 drivers.

None of this would be possible without the support of his sponsors and supporters including Vic's Car Wash & Detail, Bolingbrook STEM Association, Maplebrook Chiropractic, Cheryl's Candy N Popcorn, Create Cut Invent, Tri-County Investigations, Remes Auto Body, WoodGrain Pizzeria, DynaMac Sports Gear, Mayor Roger C. Claar, and many others that provide time, funding and expertise behind the scenes. Michael Mucha would also like to thank the Valley View School District, and his teachers and mentors at Wood View Elementary and Brook's Middle School who have encouraged him to pursue his dreams and created a learning environment that fosters critical thinking and growth both in and out of the classroom.
Michael Mucha Racing will be presenting once again at the Fountaindale Public Library on January 3rd 2019, and you can also find them at various public events year-round.
