Suspected Human Skull Found In Bolingbrook Preserve: Coroner
Forensic testing will be done by the University of Illinois Department of Anthropology and Forensic Odontology.
BOLINGBROOK, IL ? The Bolingbrook Police Department is investigating possible skeletal remains found in a wooded area near Trout Farm Road, according to a release from police. The Will County Coroner's Office said that the remains are a suspected human skull.
Officers were called to the area at 6:34 p.m. Monday after citizens found the possible skeletal remains, police said. The Will County Coroner?s Office responded to the scene and took possession of the possible remains for further analysis.
"We are awaiting the results of the Coroner?s analysis at this time," police said.

The coroner's officer said it will be conducting forensic testing by the University of Illinois Department of Anthropology and Forensic Odontology to determine the identity and gender of the remains.
The Bolingbrook Police Department Investigations Unit will be in the area throughout the day as this investigation remains ongoing. Police asked the public to avoid the area.
