2 Charged After Shooting In Bolingbrook: Police

Charles Lusk of Chicago and Kwon Russell of Bolingbrook were taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Shots were fired in the area of Elm and Grace courts in Bolingbrook Sunday, police said, and two people have been arrested.

At 1:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired. Police stopped a black Kia Soul that was leaving the area and found two loaded guns in the car. One of the guns had been reported stolen.

Officers also found a spent shell casing and one bullet on the street on Elm Court. No victims or property damage has been reported.

The occupants of the car — Charles Lusk, 29, of the 2100 block of W. Warren in Chicago, and Kwon Russel, 22, of Elm Court in Bolingbrook — were taken into custody, police said.

Lusk was charged with possession of firearm by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm and ammunition and possession of a stolen firearm. He is also currently on parole, police said.

Russel was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Both were taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility, police said.
