What sets you apart from the other candidates?
I vote “no” if called for, I’m not a total “yes” man.
How long have you lived in your community and/or been active in local issues?
I’ve lived in Bolingbrook over 39 years. My children were raised here and attended the schools up to high school. I have been active in the community for over 36 years.
What's your favorite thing about DuPage Township?
That the Township helps those in need and have saved some families from losing their homes. The General Assistance and the Food Pantry have done a great job, I would want these to continue. We can’t spend money for every one, but those most in need have benefited from DuPage Township.
What are the biggest challenges facing DuPage Township, and how would you address them?
Some of the biggest challenges to DuPage Township in the future include a larger population needing and demanding more services. As the population grows, the Township will have more needy to provide services for. This will require more taxpayer monies. Programs will have to be worked out to serve the growing population in the Township. Another growing area is jobs. The more people who work, the less people who will need assistance. We need an office park (not warehouses) to provide jobs, and other businesses such as restaurants, concessions, and other services to serve and employ the public. An office park in Township would serve the general population and provide more revenue and tax dollars.
