Bolingbrook Golf Club Hosts Third Forme Tour Tournament

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook Golf Club is one of eight locations in the country to host one of the tournaments for the inaugural Forme Tour. The Bolingbrook Golf Club Invitational will be held July 20-23.

The first two tournaments were held in June in Georgia and Alabama, respectively. Bolingbrook Golf Club is hosting the third one, and the championship will be held in Ringoes, New Jersey Sept. 7-10.

The Forme Tour was created earlier this year as a way to give members of the Professional Golfers' Association Tour who don't live in Canada a competitive place to play. The eight-tournament series began in late June and ends in early September.

Golfers — 375 total — from all over the world compete in Forme Tour, with 300 players coming from the United States alone. The various tournaments are held across the country, in states including Ohio and New Jersey.

Current standings position Florida native Philip Knowles with the most points at 542.00. The top 10 players all come from the U.S., according to stats from the first two officials events of the season.

Here is an overview of Bolingbrook's Invitational schedule:

• July 19: Official practice rounds begin at 7:00 a.m.
• July 20: First round of competition
• Morning wave tee times: 7:15 – 9:15 a.m.
• Afternoon wave tee times: 12:15 – 2:15 p.m.
• July 21: Second round of competition
• Morning wave tee times: 7:15 – 9:15 a.m.
• Afternoon wave tee times: 12:15 – 2:15 p.m.
• July 22: Third round of competition
• Tee times 8:00 – 9:40 a.m.
• July 23: Final round of competition
• Tee times 8:00 – 9:40 a.m.

At the end of the season, whoever leads the official points list will be recognized as the player of the year.
