Bolingbrook High School Speech Tournament of Dreams set for Jan. 21

The tournament will feature 32 teams from across the state

The following is a press release from Valley View School District:

"In honor of the legacy of Dr. Martin Lither King Jr., The Bolingbrook High School Speech Team will host the 9th annual Tournament of Dreams on Saturday, Jan. 21.
Thirty-two teams from across the state will compete in 14 IHSA Speech Individual Events, including acting, poetry, comedy and a variety of public speaking events.
Competition rounds begin at 8 a.m. followed by rounds at 9:30 and 11 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. Final Rounds are at 2:30 pm.
Admission is free. Enter via Door 17 on the school’s south side. Concessions and lunch will be available for purchase during the day in the BHS Cafeteria.
An information table will be available in the morning with tips on how to watch competition rounds. All rounds are held in classrooms.
The day will conclude prior to the 4:30 p.m. awards ceremony with a rock show by the BHS Music Revolution Club and a special performance dedicated to the Dream of Dr. King before the 4:30 awards ceremony.
