Bolingbrook Home Burglarized By Chicago Man: Police

Deon O. McLaughlin, of Chicago, stole a purse from a Bolingbrook home and then used a credit card found in the purse.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Chicago man has been charged with residential burglary after he stole a purse from a Bolingbrook home.

Deon O. McLaughlin, 51, of 2100 block of West Warren Drive, Chicago, entered a home in the 200 block of Riverside Drive, Bolingbrook at 6 a.m. on Dec. 12. After stealing the purse, he used a credit card, that was found in the purse, in Woodridge, police said.

The Bolingbrook Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for McLaughlin on Tuesday, following an in-depth investigation. Police said McLaughlin was located in Chicago with the assistance of the Chicago Police Department and taken into custody on Wednesday.

He was processed at the Bolingbrook Police Department and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. McLaughlin’s bond was set at $200,000.
