Bolingbrook Man, Romeoville Firefighter Faces Child Porn Charges

A Bolingbrook man accused of sharing child pornography through a social media platform was arrested this week.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A Bolingbrook man accused of sharing child pornography through a social media platform now faces child porn charges.

Will County Sheriff's detectives arrested Daniel Czupryn, 59, of the first block of Caribou Court in Bolingbrook. He was charged Wednesday with three counts of child pornography, police said, adding that they were tipped off about Czupryn in August by the The Internet Crimes against Children Task Force.

"Detectives immediately began their investigation and found that Czupryn was involved in sharing child pornography through a social media site," a news release said. "After a search of his computer and cell phones, Czupryn was brought in for questioning where he made statements implicating himself."

Czupryn currently works as a part-time Romeoville firefighter, as a GI tech at DuPage Medical Center in Oakbrook, and Meier’s foods in Bolingbrook.

He was booked into the Adult Detention Facility and his bail was set at $100,000. He would need to post 10 percent of that value, or $10,000, in order to be released.
